You cannot purchase amulets in the forge, and they are more rare from chests in the dungeon.
There is someone in the bazaar who will enchant unenchanted amulets and will upgrade amulets with only one enchantment.
Equipping and Managing Equipment
What equipment you wear is one of the most important things you will need to manage while playing Further and Rarer.
When you get new equipment, it is added to your backpack. When you open your backpack, you can inspect a piece of equipment to learn what it is good for.
From your equipment menu, you can inspect items you have currently equipped, remove them or swap them out with equipment from your backpack. When you change equipment, each enemy will get a chance to take a turn so it is best to change equipment when no enemies are around.
Equipment Enchantments
Each piece of equipment can have up to six enchantments. In most cases, how many enchantments an item has is random.
There are five types of enchantments. Enchantments that show up in the first row in an item's description tend to increase your ability to attack enemies. Enchantments that show up in the middle row of an item's description tend to increase your defensive abilties. Enchantments that show up in the third row are miscellaneous effects with some focus on magic.
Amulets can have special enchantments that affect specific spells. These can show up in any enchantment location.
Lastly, there are enchantments that show up on special items. These enchantments have more complex effects and only show up on items with a particular matching name. Use the "Explain" option when viewing an item to learn about what these enchantments do.
Item Levels
When you find an item, it has a random "level". This is a value that controls how high of values you will get on that item. An item's level is never higher than the floor it is found on. Special items that have the more complex enchantments also have a minimum required level so they will not appear on floors in the dungeon before that.
